All Steps at a Glance – xP&A

Overview

In this chapter, you will find the individual steps required to create and use models for the planning and analysis of your data using Lucanet xP&A. The step descriptions also contain links to more detailed descriptions.

Creating a New Model

On the start page, create a new model and choose between Basic New Model (starting from scratch) or a template.

Adding Data and Dimensions

In the Data workspace, manage the data sources. You can either select an existing data source or connect to a new data source. Afterwards, you can configure dimensions, if necessary.

Configuring Input Variables

Define variables, the key building blocks of your model.

Create new variables in your model, then enter values manually, connect data sources, or use formulas.

Calculating Output Variables

Structure your analysis and create calculations.

  • Add sections to organize your model. 
  • Add formulas and reference inputs to build all the variables you wish in your model.

Editing the Dashboard

Visualize your results using charts and tables

On the Dashboard tab, you can add charts or tables.

Sharing the Model

Collaborate with your team by sharing your model or dashboard.

By clicking Share, you can give access to colleagues and configure views to control which parts of the model are shared.
